Exclusivity
Also called category exclusivity, non-compete
Exclusivity is a clause stopping you from working with competing brands in the same category for an agreed period, so it is paid time you cannot sell to anyone else.
The thing to pin down is the category, because a brand will write it as widely as you let them. "Skincare" and "beauty" are not the same restriction, and "wellness" can be read to cover supplements, fitness apps and food.
Price it against what the lane is worth to you. Three months of turning down every rival in your best category is worth roughly 30% on the deal; twelve months is worth double that, because it is most of a year of your highest paying work.
It should always have a start date, an end date and a named category list. Exclusivity with no term is exclusivity forever, and it is the clause most likely to be paired with perpetuity in the same sentence.

- Usage rights
Usage rights are what a brand is allowed to do with a video after you deliver it: which channels it can appear on, whether they can put ad spend behind it, and for how long.
- Perpetuity
Perpetuity means the brand's licence to use your video has no end date, so they can keep running it, including as a paid ad, forever and without paying again.
- Rate card
A rate card is a published list of what a creator charges, and it is worth less than it looks because it fixes a price before the usage rights are known.
